Day trading is more simple than if you have a varied portfolio also, still trying to get my head around the CGT because my PF is 70% dividend shares that you need to pay CGT on for either full or unfranked, short term|long term, then add in day trading on pips, shorting. That and living in China for six years is why it was easier to just have someone else manage it before. Think I will still just throw it all at a tax accountant, because working all that out seems like more hassle than it's worth
