Im not in the mining game but i visited the Pillara mine with a fellow consultant who is in the mining game a couple of months ago.
We both wondered why such large companies (Teck and Xstrata) would bother with a small mine that only had a known mine life of around two years.
It was our guess that TC were using the small mine as a means of entering the mining scene in Australia.
It will also be interesting to see what Thundelarra emerge with at Lamboo as that is extremely close to Koongie Park.
