You are entitled to make those observations but they are merely speculative. I note your comment below:

It is a comment entirely without any tangible merit. The connective use of the metaphore "it's not rocket science" with 'the making of an assumption' lacks basic logic.
The assumptive conclusion you draw is based on speculative values.
This is not to say your basic premise hasn't cross the minds of many investors. What you say is possible, but a better standard we should be applying is probable.
Looking at the SP over the past 10 yers, I don't think the market is factoring in your speculative assumptions.
