Re the fact summary I posted last night:

The islands I referred to are Winchelsea and Connection, not Bickerton.

My statement re the Marine Survey is based on sound supposition rather than fact. The ALC has had no indication that the Marine Survey has been completed, but our monitoring activities in the Gulf indicate that no GOT chartered vessel has been sighted since February 2011.

Verification of the EPBC applications can be made by visiting the EPBC web site.

The ALC gains verification of the state of play re any MMP via identified channels of communication with the NT DOR. I would imagine that SH's could seek verification via, in the first instance, general email or phione enquiries.

The last communication the ALC had with GOT was via an exchange of emails between our Legal Officer and Daws during the period 10th-16th of March. Daws sought permission to bring KORES to the Archipelago to veiw the "Groote Project". This overture was rebuffed by the TO's.

In addition to the information I stated re the ALC and the TO's: they have also publicly indicated that they will take all legal avenues to thwart GOT's Gulf water's ambitions.

The campaign by the TO's too must be overidingly undertaken in acknowledgement of the facts. Although they reserve the right to pursue media coverage and the tapping of emotional sentiments...in fact any behaviour that constitutes legal activity in regard to their opposition.

I will post any factual information regarding this issue ASAP when it comes to hand, and of course indulge in speculation, debate and the odd inter-personal stupidities that are part and parcel of this crazy but informative and entertaining forum.
