Hi all, I have not seen any discussion on this topic yet but if I've missed it, sorry for repeating. Also I am fairly new to investing so forgive me if i have overlooked some details. Am happy to learn from anyone who have greater insight.

Disclaimer: I am current stock holder.

As we all know SWF's platform is built off OpenMarkets (OM). All the trading activity goes through them and SWF is essentially just a skin on OM. The problem right now is that OM is only trading in the ASX and is currently solely focused on the ASX. If they do not have the ability to trade internationally, doesn't that essentially means SWF wouldn't be able to trade internationally too?

Unless SWF partners up with other companies to get the license for international trading and what not, which means that they will have an extremely hard time integrating international trades into their current system. Because for one, it is not their own system to start with.

Second, after jumping through that massive hurdle, they still need to keep a competitive price to attract customers.

I can see a lot of us are buying this stock in anticipation of the international trading announcement. Don't get me wrong, I too hope they can succeed in whatever they are doing. But lets put ourselves in their shoes for a second and ask ourselves this question. How accessible is international trading especially when their main competitive advantage is a flat low fee? Wouldn't that require OM to do all the heavy lifting to be a certified international trader? Lets not forget Andrew Ward sold off 40% of his holdings to institutional investors back in July 27th. A sign of a sinking ship or just purely to "Facilitate demand" ?

On the CS&E contract award the company stated that they "now looks forward to further discussion with OpenMarkets to work together to bring additional products and technology to its platform..." Here's hoping to "additional products" being international trading and nothing less.
