I believe SKorea will be partner because out of all the major manufacturing powerhouses they do not have a secure low cost dedicated strategic supply of REE or Uranium. It's vital to their national interests to secure these commodities. Now that London mining project is going ahead under Chinese backing it would be wise for Greenland to allow another competitive backer besides China into their country to counter their influence. So I don't believe a Chinese company will be allowed to finance Kvanefjeld though they will probably be used in a bidding war amongst interested parties. Also someone here has commented before that the west would prefer SKorea to take this over rather than China and that I believe is also a valid assessment considering Greenlands historical alignment with the west and as a counter to any future influence China may gain.
