The PM was not helped by the members of the Labor handbag brigade who used every occasion to accuse Abbott of being a misogynist. This of course failed at the CFMEU dinner in Canberra where a comedian told a joke that clearly demeaned Peta Credlin (Abbott's Chief of Staff) and many of the members of the handbag brigade laughed. Even the Treasuer had to say later he didn't say anything because he didn't want to put fire onto things. He never said whether he was shocked or laughed at the joke. This all of a sudden put the lie to the misogyny speech. The misogynists were in the Parliamentary Labor Party.
Also it didn't help when Tim spoke about Asian women doctors and their hands.
Only the diehard female ALP supporters believe that Tony Abbott is misogynist.
