Its good that you are doing this, however anything that relies on wet gravity steps either before or after any ore sorting can be put in the bin straight away. Given AW1's location they won't be able to maintain their water as a liquid for some of the year.
Next step is to discount the easiest visual ore sorting technology like the basalt rejection out of a Pegmatite Li ore stream, that's very simple and easy to do. In AW1's case the copper mineralisation (either as oxides or supergene/sulfides) may not be as easy to distinguish from the country rocks and other gangue minerals. If there is a lot of one gangue mineral like a quartz or a carbonate and its visual appearance is homogenous then going for rejection of carbonate or silicate gangue minerals might help, but you have to remember that to do this Tomra ore sorting you have already spent the time and money crushing and screening to a relatively uniform particle size, this is how the selection/rejection mechanics of these sorters work, so there is no such thing as a free lunch with ore sorting when it comes to either selectively taking the target ore mineral or rejecting the undesirable gangue mineral, remembering of course that Tomra units can only be set up to select one desirable mineral at a time or reject one undesirable mineral at a time.
Think of them as machines for sorting green, brown and clear glass bottles. If your natural system has any more than 2 or 3 variants of bottles you need to do multiple passes, as one Tomra might do the job of taking green bottles, then pass to the next Tomra which is programmed to take brown bottles, so you would think you would only have clear bottles left after the second Tomra right? But what happens if some smart arse throws a bunch of plastic bottles, plastic bags, paper and some unusual blue and red and orange bottles into the feed at the beginning? How many Tomras would you like to buy?Thats what natural geology is like.
