Looking at potential,great idea. First question though is what price for alum compared to same effect for phoslock?
Secondly just identifying a problem is not enough, if there is no money to solve the problem. The fact they are using alum means there is money to solve some problems (probably the worst first), but how much are US authorities prepared to spend on how large an area?
The new contract in China shows the Chinese are prepared to spend the money fixing the problem, so success in one area should multiply. The Chinese need this water cleaned, probably for drinking. Do we have the same type of dilemma in the US?
At least one aspect is guaranteed, we (as in humans) keep polluting the planet making the problem worse everywhere, so there should be no shortage of situations that need cleaning up.
