Labour is cheaper in China than technology. I have worked in a Chinese factory and seen the conscious decision to employ more workers than to spend money on capital. You don't spend money on capital to reduce labour costs when labour costs are cheaper.
And please no Woolworths gurus. I have also worked with them. Please save us from these "experts". Hope none of you are Woolworths middle management. If so, they really are geniuses.
