Now the good news-I spoke to a gentleman from Gulf Agency Company this afternoon and he confirmed that the Hiri Chief was due in port this evening to begin loading our rig.I also spoke to another gentleman from Townsville Port Authoritie's tower at 9 pm who confirmed that she came alongside at 1845hrs and her destination is Daru PNG.Even though i was disappointed to find that everything was still on Australian soil i must agree that this little lady could be much more appropriate for our purposes.Please refer to company announcement 14th April stating the river leading to Panakawa will handle barges up to 3000tons-Hiri Chief is listed as dead weight 3200 tons.So after customs clearance at Daru she just may sail straight up the river to the site.
