I was at a seminar on the weekend and it was said that gold is no longer considered as a a safe haven, in the respect of flight to gold and gold stocks.
What is driving gold is demand from China India etc for jewelery and electronics etc.

This is just one mans opinion I guess. If the predictions we were seeing come to fruition of gold at USD 1000 by jan - mar 09 then that blows that theory right out of the water.

Time will tell.
