My 2c is the potential $18 million equity injection is not too bad an outcome.
1. WP continues to tie up loose ends with non-core business
2. WP continues to establish relationships and partnerships
3. $0.5 million break fee plus Queensland Government funding should see AI push the phase 1b trial to the next inflective point (I'm sure Astrazeneca will be watching with keen interest)
Star Bright is merely a stepping stone to a deal with a Big Pharma. Its better to have $18 million in the coffers when we get to the stage to deal** with Big Pharma (subject to good Phase 1b results).
** the fact we need Star Bright in my view means HSV program will probably be ceased. Proof of concept data wasnt enough to attract any Big Pharma.
