Good to get a quick and somewhat meaningful reply imo.
With all this coal seam gas claptrap and Pure Energy takeover nonsense going on right now lets hope that Turnbull decides to explore this issue further and then run with the logical and sensible alternative. Would be a win-win if Turnbull gives Mart'n Fer'son a decent nudge to get on with it. The recent bushfires in Victoria threatened their over-centralised power generation and supply systems; this should have alerted the politicians to Victoria's vulnerability to a major power disruption. I gather that the power generation infrastucture down there is getting a bit long in the tooth so adopting UCG as a way of distributing the risk around a bit more seems to me to be a political no-brainer. Not to mention that its a cleaner and more environmentally friendly technology and has also been proven to work right here in good ole Oz. And by none other than our dear old Dr Len no less!
Btw: forget about CO2 sequestration, at least for the moment. A total JOKE!
