Although I agree with you with the first part for turning up at the AGM and ask the question, not many people are capable to attend because of the distances involved.
As for the second part of the question, where you suggest to vote NO for what you are unhappy with, I have done that for years and years on end, and unfortunately I have never achieved anything, although I can assure you that I will continue to do so, in the future.
It always seem to me that somehow they always get what they want, regardless of the votes and, make me wonder if the votes are rigged or not because never in all my years of investing, have I seen that a resolution has been rejected. HAVE YOU???
Even when they ask for a vote for giving themselves a pay rise, the vote on the matter is only an "ADVISORY VOTE", and it is not binding on the Director's decision.
Anyway, let's wait and see what will unfold.
