I expect they were already 10m+ shares short before today and it can only increase looking at today's action. If I assume today was around 15m shares short, then at some point they would need to cover 25m+ shares. I am not giving them any of mine.

I'm guessing they are holding it down until the rebalance date. If they are lucky, will be picking up quite a lot of cheap shares due to margin calls. After that, maybe with a little help on a long expected SGX announcement, they can do a massive covering or even accumulation.
