Dear Chris, I don't claim to be a writer and I am certainly not a geologist so some of my facts might be awry. I am also conscious that your announcements will be governed by listing rules and cannot be too effusive. However I do feel compelled to show how information can be presented which might make it more meaningful for shareholders. So if I were writing your most recent announcement the bit attributed to you might go as follows:
"As readers will be aware there are three components to the Stavely discovery which make it so exciting.
The first is the chalcocite-enriched blanket at surface or near to it which contains relatively low-grade copper but is extremely easy to access. It is supplemented by gold and silver which is currently uncounted for resource modelling purposes. While this body may not constitute a viable operation on its own it will de-risk any larger operation because of its size (28mt at 0.4% copper) and accessibility.
The second component is the high-grade lode-style copper veins which constitute, for ease of explanation, the conduit by which mineralisation was driven from the porphyry to surface. We have had some spectacular intercepts in these veins (cite references) which in combination we call the Cayley Lode. These latest intercepts are a continuation of this pattern and advance us hugely in eventually modelling a succesful operation.
The final component is the porphry core. This is the source or mother-lode of the other compements and locating it will based on geological science provide grades far in excess of those identified elsewhere in the total system. Two holes are being drilled over the summer to locate the core based on blah blah work to identify the best places to look.
In considering today's results readers should not be fixated by either copper grades or gold grades or both. They should view them in the context of a large coherent multi-pronged operation which is de-risked by the chalcocite blanket, hopefully made viable by the cayley lode, and will be taken into jackpot territory by discovery of the porphyry core. We view these results extremely positively in that light. Chris the Boss"
