If a response is given (and I say 'if' knowing that this may or may not happen), let's be aware that they might use phrases/language like 'we cannot comment further at this time' or 'we are working hard behind the scenes and a decision will be made in due course.' Politicians know how to use words. However, this would be completely unhelpful and simply an attempt to calm things down without taking any action.
