Hmmmmm, now surely noncomp, you're not intimating, that "The ASX and its so called ''watch dogs'' are in fact simply now engaging in a re-run, a repeat performance, perhaps, if you like, of the 'absolute farce' uncovered in the wash-up following the GFC where the US Ratings agencies Fitch, Moody's and Standard and Poors, who were collectively being relied upon by the entire global financial system, to correctly 'label' US Sub-Prime Mortgages as just what they actually were, ie, complete, absolute and utter financial rubbish, that weren't even worth the value of the 'used' pieces of toilet paper, that they were being continually and very rapidly written on, were all instead, quite happy to label them, as "AAA quality rated investments".

Why...??

Simple, because the US Ratings Agencies, who were responsible for the investment quality ratings supervision of Wall St's ever expanding compendium of increasingly complex 'financial product offerings' were themselves, so far entwined with the corrupt daily activities of the Wall St Banks and US Hedge funds, and were at the same time, all enjoying "the good life" whilst they were all being continually wined and dined by them, that ..no one.. in the Agencies, ..was game.. to 'blow the whistle' on the biggest financial scam to be perpetrated (to that point in time) in the history of the world.

Ahhhhh, "the old human factor".
