    Good post CW.

I am really pleased to see more shareholders writing to Dorothy Pratt but I would also like to see similar letters go the the Mines & Energy Minister Stephen Robertson & to the Mayor of the South Burnett Regional Council David Carter.

Further could some of you send letters to the Editor of the South Burnett Times Newspaper, please. This is the local paper & we need factual information about Cougar & the UCG process to counter letters of the likes of the following.

A little bit of knowledge can make some people look rather silly. People read it & believe it as no one else is countering their irrational claims. In this case the guy clearly does not know the difference between UCG & CSG.

Here is his letter but I will not disclose his name or where he is from.

    TOXIC UCG PAYS DEBTS

"While our political super class is focusing upon the potential areas of convenience, a group of Queensland battlers are confronting a threat that could destroy the agricultural and remote areas of our State and in fact much of Australia.

The Kingaroy protesters who have felt the first impacts of the coal seam gas extraction upon our water resources are being sidelined by the minister, Robertson, of the Bligh brigade. "We will truck you drinking water", is his response.

What every Australian needs to be aware of is the senate inquiry chaired by senator Simon Birminghamn into the impacts of mining in the Murray Darling Basin, Namoi Valley, Liverpool Plains and the Darling Downs. The effects of mining and extractive practices were investigated and the report released in December of 2009. Four very straight forward recommendations were advanced by the 10 senators involved in the thorough examination. Section 255A of the Water Act of 2007 was to be qualified.

The Rudd/Gillard administration was to work with the States to be sure no extractive industry was undertaken until planning research was completed to guarantee no adverse impacts could affect groundwater resources. Explicit recommendations were in place to prevent new mines or extractive industrial development proceeding until all investigations were completed.

Why have the Austrlia people been led down Labor's attitude: "mine it and be silent while we repay our debt to our Asian bankers".
