You can ask but it doesn't mean you will get! But the normal event in our society is that if you suffer a legal wrong you are entitled to some compensation. The question then becomes have these people suffered an actionable legal wrong. If the answer is yes they are entitled to compensation if the answer is no they are not entitled to a zack. If you disagree with the operation of this principle I trust that should you suffer from some loss from an actionable wrong you should roll over and don't bother the lawyers.
