Firstly the correspondence was sent by the Receiver appointed to Opes - not "letters of demand by ANZ's reciever".
I would assume this action by the Receiver is the same as would take place in any such similar process - collect monies owing to the company and establish a pool of funds from which to pay the creditors (about whom you now refer).
The actual amount paid to creditors of Opes will be $0.x in the $ they are owed, depending on what is available to distribute.
