Went to a function at ANZ recently and a very senior manager got up to give a speech to staff (only a handful of outsiders present). The manager spoke of low morale and the shocking publicity the Opes events had brought to the bank.
During the function i spoke to a number of staff (without disclosing my position) and the general mood was one of embarrassment over the banks Opes involvement. While the people at the top make their faceless/heartless decisions i would only imagine the many decent people who work there would be appalled.
