The "level playing field", remember that expression from a few years back?
What did it mean I wonder?
Did it mean that Asian production standards/wages/conditions would/should be raised to our levels?
Or did it mean that we would need to drop our production standards/wages/conditions to their levels?
Maybe a compromise ...
