Good news on the regulatory front, the state mining regulator, DMIRS, have committed to reduce red tape for program of work approvals for exploration and mining related activities.
The current target for approvals within 6 weeks will aim to be reduced to 3 weeks from July 2020. This will expedite proceedings for the drilling of Leviathan, especially given there are no Native Title negotiations to delay things with no claims over the permit area.
