Liberty have been named as naming rights sponsor for A-League Women. In the lead up to the IPO they were named as sponsors for the Renegades Women and Men’s big bash teams and then Essendon football club. Maybe this is part of a push to get retail investors more familiar with the company? Liberty have never been big on consumer marketing, instead choosing to market direct to brokers or rely on word of mouth. It could just be a new strategy given they're now more diversified and wanting to get their name out there. I think they have been targeting women’s sports to score some easy ESG points as well tbh.
