All I was talking about was the types of vehicles now using rechargeable batteries, and the reduction of fossil fuels for machinery. I wasn't referring to the nation's electricity generation methods - although that is certainly a significant concern. With powerstations like Liddell about to close in NSW, yet a push for charging cars specifically requiring greater base load energy, the Labor government really needs to look at how to sustain long term power generation. I hope they don't shoot themselves in the foot by promoting EVs then not being able to cater for them.
