I don't think the market has recognised how big this is. LG have made their intentions clear BEFORE the PFS. This is a huge endorsement for COB and also reflects how anxious the big boys are to secure ex-China product.
LG chem is the only company that manufactures cathodes, cells AND battery packs. They have secured deals with Volkswagen and Nissan and are big on off grid storage (my parents just installed solar and a lg battery).
Although LG could help with plant construction/logistics etc, for me, this signals an intention to secure offtake in the form of upfront payment and perhaps a larger JV purchase after the PFS is complete.
It's another huge de-risking moment for the COB faithful and there's plenty of upside to come as I see the SP marching on towards $3 by the end of 2018.
