Only way to counter a good marketer is with good marketing. However for Elon who wants a point of difference, he will highlight it hard. The city loves anything remotely huggy, thrifting to fight child labour is right in the wheel house to be highlighted. We will hear all about short run vehicles and amazing progress ;/, what you will not hear is the massive amount of cobalt Tesla (yes Tesla) will be buying and others who will inevitably need to buy it for just about everything else, cept the odd mowped. I expect the extrapolation to high storage, trucks, trains, dwellings will be highlighted as just a simple next step, leave em hanging in the air for all the awws $ oohs. Battery Day is for emotive stuff. But out in the real world the price of cobalt will do the talking.

The thing to watch is the cobalt price, some joy over the next 12 months, I would say.
