Interesting articles on new battery technology, you guessed it, manganese required! Contrary to some peoples beliefs it appears NCM 811 batteries are becoming a preferred choice as less cobalt is required (now very expensive and typically mined in the worst regions on earth).
Oh and these aren't experimental....they will be produced on mass scale from 2018 and in cars from 2019.
