Cobalt is used in cathodes and these guys are developing a new anode. IMO any improvement in battery technology that does not completely and utterly eliminate cobalt from the entire battery industry is a tailwind for COB. Improvements in density, longevity and reduction of cost per kWh improve EV economics and therefore adoption.
