Wellcome aboard !!, doing what you are doing selling covered calls on LGL is sure a safe way to make money when they are moving in their range........I believe traders or investors have lost faith in the management to a degree as they have made lots of mistakes in the past and Ballarat was one of them and they did not deliver the production numbers as they promised in the past either or they missed the number, as why don't they give dividends well I am at a loss myself, the only reason that I can see is they are trying to preserve their cash for......who knows........
it is a solid company with massive cash in the bank and some people don't like them being exposed to some possibility of political instability,and lihir island itself.... now they have to prove that they can deliver what they say re production and win back the trust from investors.....I am more interested of a possibility of a take over....but so far it is not happening.....maybe some big companies are waiting for confirmation re production etc before making a move??
I like the potential for rerating.. and take over.. and inflation effect on the sp and will keep playing with LGL, it is only a matter of time before they explode!!!
