EV numbers will rise exponentially.
All new cars globally will be EVs by 2025 (Tony Seba, 2016). They will be cheaper to build than petrol/
diesel in a few years. Cheaper to fuel, maintain and buy, plus they are the fastest production cars (p100d) on the road. Also around 18 moving parts in an ev as opposed to around 2000 in a petrol/diesel. LI batteries are improving 5% p/ year and getting cheaper.
Mobile phones are a good example of this exponential growth. Back in the 80s it was predicted there would be 90 thousand phones in 15 years time, ended up being 1.9 mil.
