It's definitely a touchy subject for most LI supporters, myself included but non the less it shouldn't be discounted.
Any new technology has its die hard supporters and are willing to go down with the ship, like sheeps, and wouldn't even contemplate the thought of their beloved technology one day dying out and be replaced by another better more efficient one.
