James, sounds like you're a little unaware of the growing market for graphite. I'm happy to assist in your education.
There a multiple uses for flake graphite which include: Expandable Graphite (insulation foam, soft foams, mattresses, carpets, textiles, coatings, plastic foils, rubber products, pipe closing systems, fire retardants, graphite foil), Micronised Graphite Powder (photovoltaic, high temperature furnaces, lamp carbon, lubricants, carbon brushes), Spherical Graphite (anodes in lithium ion batteries) and Recarburisation (steel making and iron casting).
TON, through the integration of the Nicanda Hill and Ancuabe projects, will be able to provide a selection of high quality graphite concentrates to cater for a wider range of customer requirements.
TON has already announced a 100ktpa offtake with YXGC for the expandable graphite market......this market is set to explode when the proposed mandatory legislation on 10% expandable graphite is approved. In fact, YXGC wanted as much product ASAP as the could get their hands on.......
TON has recently announced another 200ktpa with our friends in Shenzhen, with financing attached. In fact, they wanted 400ktpa ASAP, and BB had to temper their expectations.
I think the only question is "when will we have to start knocking customers back onto the waiting list?"
It's only a matter of time before the sector gets legs. With the likes of Tesla, and soon to be BYD starting construction of their gigafactories, TON not only will have a line waiting for their product, they'll have a line waiting to get onto the share register.
Early bird gets the worm James.....in this case I think the birds are circling. From all reports the instos / funds were very interested in TON's progress on Wed / Thurs on BB's roadshow. I know of two investment houses that want to follow up with them on Monday.......again, the birds are circling!!!!
