Disclosure: I have interests in physical metals recycling.
Spoke to Sims in Melbourne yesterday.
They no longer recycle Li batteries "in stockpiles they crush, arc-out and catch fire"
There is one recycler in Melb. who recycle Li batteries but charge for disposal.
As Li batteries are now the preferred power source for all tradies it seems that these batteries will be single use only.
Obviously E-car batteries and larger may be economically recyclable?
Anybody who spends any time on building sites knows that batteries have taken over.
Given that there is no second life for these batteries.
Li oversupply?: Total Nonsense.
