But to be fair, the pilot plant has produced truck loads of 99.7+% product, rather than just 'a few bags'. i don't believe scaling up to 2ktpa represents as daunting a prospect for a chemical company with proven process and a solid understanding of the composition and homogeneity of the resource. Furthermore, there's what, 10% diff between spot price of battery grade and industrial grade currently? not going to move the dial much even if it isnt quite 100% BG straight out the gate (although i personally believe it'll be pretty bloody close).
