    @Gvan
    Your Lithium Price Bot is more up-to-date than the prices from 'Trading Economics', which are always very well updated and which I can recommend to everyone here to follow all commodities etc.
    https://tradingeconomics.com/commodity/lithium
    This site says:
    "Lithium carbonate prices rebounded to CNY 180,000 per tonne from the 19-month low of CNY 165,500 touched on April 24th, the first increase since hitting a record-high CNY 600,000 in November 2022 after Chile nationalized its lithium industry."
    Your Bot now shows >Carbonate 99.5% Min China Spot Price: ¥ CNY 187’500So I have to totally agree with @Dutch1965: "The lithium carbonate 99.5% CIF China looks about ready to go green, which I believe is most relevant for Argosy."

    And it is also significant what Juan Carlos Zuleta said:
    As expected, today, in the Chinese spot market, 1) #lithium carbonate and hydroxide battery grade prices almost reach parity;
    Not long ago there was another situation, when @Jezzaaa explained it in post as of
    Post #: 67285624

    "Another point I've been meaning to raise -- is some of the lithium experts have been mentioning that with the massive gap in price between hydroxide (much higher) and carbonate (much lower) there is huge profit margins available for processors to buy carbonate at spot price at the moment, convert it to hydroxide and sell hydroxide. This should invoke a nice support for carbonate prices. Nice to see hydroxide prices holding a little better, and spod is going up."
    So it seems to be true that the market forces are also balancing out in China, oh wonder sneaky.pngWhichever way wins, there is more positive news

    All punters here should ask themselves why world-class companies like

    Albemarle set to double production of lithium hydroxide at Kemerton refinery in WA's South West

    see: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2023-05-03/albemarle-double-production-lithium-hydroxide-kemerton-refinery/102298280

    "You get a very, very bright long-term future, which is being driven by the energy transition out of fossil fuels and into renewables.

    "Sitting at the heart of that is lithium, [which is] being driven by government demands that fossil fuel use is reduced and battery use is increased.

    "That is a very, very powerful long-term incentive for lithium producers."
    So, I repeat it again: The little bump in Lithium carbonate 99.5% CIF China looks about ready to go green, which I believe is most relevant for Argosy.

    Have all a nice weekend and greetings from Germany smile.pngsmile.png
