    I have previously considered the same thing. However, what's in it for Rio? We sell our Li to them at the spot price, and then they sell it for ??? Where's the profit for them?

    The only thing I can think of is that they get access to our IP in return. But if that's the case, why not just do a separate deal for the IP?
