    The investment roadmap was proposed.Executives of prominent mining companies: Mansfield, Posco, Eramine, Puna Mining and Ganfeng, which operate in the province in phases of exploration and production of minerals and lithium, organised a working day in which they shared with provincial legislators essential details about their operations and the socioeconomic impact they generate in the territory.This meeting was promoted by the Ministry of Mining and led to an enriching exchange of ideas about crucial issues, including the status of investments, environmental and social impact, the hiring of labour and local suppliers, current legislation, tax aspects, corporate social responsibility actions and future plans.Highlighting the Salteño GoldThe first exhibition was given by Facundo Huidobro and Mario Ferretti of the Mansfield company, an entity of the Fortuna Silver group dedicated mainly to the extraction of gold, as well as silver and copper in a secondary way in the Lindero open pit mine, located in the Puna of Salta, in an area that borders Catamarca and Chile.During their speech, they shared that the labour force currently consists of 595 employees, with 428 of them from Salta. Of the local group, 57 reside in Tolar Grande, 123 in San Antonio de los Cobres and 248 in other locations in the province. In addition, they pointed out that they have 419 suppliers, of which 381 are national and 130 of them are from Salta. Likewise, the existence of 377 indirect collaborators was mentioned, of which 205 are contracting companies from Salta, and the implementation of an ongoing supplier development plan was highlighted.Ganfeng's Contribution and its Three Lithium VariantsMaría José García, from Ganfeng Lithium, gave an perspective on the 5 projects that are under development in Salta and Jujuy, 3 of them located in Salta.The Mariana Project, led by the company Litio Minera Argentina, involves an investment of US$600 million for the production of lithium chloride, projecting its start for 2024 and generating 1300 direct and indirect jobs during its construction phase. In addition, the extraction will be established in the Puna and the process will be carried out in the Gral industrial park. Güemes, with the creation of 648 jobs.The PPG Project, by the Lithea company, seeks to obtain lithium carbonate, involving an investment of US$167 million. Currently, it is in an advanced stage of exploration and anticipates the generation of 367 jobs.For its part, the Incahuasi Project, under the tutelage of Ganfeng Litio Argentina, is in the exploration stage and involves an investment of US$56 million.Eramet's Contribution and its Lithium Carbonate Battery GradeDaniel Chávez Díaz de Eramet, belonging to Eramine Sudamericana, focussed on the Centennial Mouse Project, aimed at the extraction of battery-grade lithium carbonate.Chávez Díaz reported that the camp houses 1260 employees and has reached an advance of 65%. He stressed that 82% of Salta's workers are involved in the construction phase, with the aspiration of reaching an initial production of 24,000 tons per year in the production phase, with a view to increasing it to 75,000 tons.To illustrate this commitment, he highlighted an investment of $17 billion in Salta during the first half of the year, involving 263 local suppliers.Posco and its Lithium Hydroxide ProductionVicente Arias, from the firm Posco, presented the Sal de Oro Project, focussed on the production of lithium hydroxide in the Salar del Hombre Muerto, and with a phase in the so-called cooperation zone between Salta and Catamarca.Arias reported that the construction of commercial plant 1 began in 2022, with a projected annual production of 25,000 tons of lithium hydroxide. Similarly, the construction of the commercial plant 2 began this year, with the expectation of producing 25,000 tons of lithium carbonate annually.Plant 1 will represent an investment of US$840 million, with the extraction of lithium phosphate in the Puna and the processing in lithium hydroxide in Gral. Güemes. For its part, plant 2 will involve an investment of US$ 954 million. In addition, a phase 3 is contemplated to increase production by 50,000 tons per year.
