Yeah, that's fair enough. It's going to take some time for a decent variety of affordable vehicles to make their way into the used car market and that automatically rules many car owners out. It does seem like there is a lot of competitive action ongoing between the EV car manufacturers now. I know Telsa are still operating at extremely high margins for a car manufacturer so the more competition the better to bring prices down.
The range, towing and cold weather range reduction are all essentially the same thing I suppose and will be solved technologically over time. Better energy density = more range = more towing = more range when cold.
What are electricity prices like in NL at the moment? In Australia they have gone up significantly in the last few years, over 50%, it has made charging at Tesla superchargers pretty much on par with petrol. I noticed when I was in Italy in July that petrol prices were extremely high at about 1.80 euro per litre which I didn't expect. I'd imagine it is similar all around Europe?
