It will be interesting to see how that plays out. I held CXO until recently and I’m appalled by their management, but I think there’s a lot more to this. Tesla are an apex predator in the battery minerals sector, and in my view they’re just trying their luck with CXO while they’re in a weak position.
I’m keen to see the details as they emerge. Nevertheless, offtakes aren’t the source of CXO’s problems. It’s just one more thing to worry about after their management already screwed up in many different ways.
