All looks to be full steam ahead for Lithium mining in Salta.

The Ministry of Mining and the Ministry of Labor presented a comprehensive vision of lithium mining in Salta, its importance, sustainability and care for the environment at the IV Congress of Occupational and Environmental Hygiene and Safety 2023.

The Government highlighted control and sustainability at the IV Hygiene and Safety Congress 2023.

Within the framework of the IV Congress of Occupational and Environmental Hygiene and Safety 2023, the Secretary of Mining and Energy, Romina Sassarini , together with the Secretary of Labor Alfredo Batule , offered a presentation on the "New challenges of Lithium mining: opportunities to maximize the operations and prevent risks in the activity".

During her presentation, the official highlighted the importance of lithium mining in the province of Salta and how this activity has become a fundamental pillar for economic development and job creation in the region.

He highlighted the importance of on-site inspections and compliance with regulations to guarantee sustainability and care for the environment in this sector.

In this context, he emphasized the articulated work of the Mines Court and the Ministry of Mining and Energy, in the control and regulation of mining activity, as well as in the promotion of investments and the protection of the environment.

The official pointed out that the Mining Authority is in charge of verifying that the companies have the necessary judicial and administrative permits, as well as the required environmental impact reports.

He highlighted the role of the Provincial Registry of Mining Producers, which is divided into explorers, plants and producers, and is a key mechanism to guarantee compliance with these requirements.

At the same time, Alfredo Batule highlighted the joint work between his agency and the Ministry of Mining and Energy, and urged the public present to be trained in the field of occupational safety and hygiene.

This congress, organized by the Organization of Occupational and Environmental Hygienists of the Argentine Republic (HARA), the COPAIPA Foundation, and COPAIPA, is held at the UTHGRA Salta branch from September 6 to 8.
