I was reading a very similar piece of news re solar panels. Apparently, price has dropped 25% in the last few months with no apparent reason but the over-production coming from China. Panel producers are raising their voices for the EU to study anti-dumping measures.

It can't just be a coincidence the wind mill sector is in taters because "increased competition" and solar panels/EVs/Li markets are seeing drastically reduced prices at the same time and in a short timeframe.

This smells like old school political economy.

A friend told me the same happened with rare earths last year but now the pressure has eased in the last 6 months. We could see the same with Li, especially if the market becomes more diverse and is not tied up with one sided supply chain.
