Ford are releasing a PHEV ranger in 2025 that claims to have 40km of pure electric range coupled with a standard 2l ICE engine that will kick in after the battery is exhausted. This could be a great solution for commuting during the week and those longer trips away from the charging networks. Perhaps this tech will increase the uptake of PHEV in Australia.
