It's not for nothing that EV plans are getting thrown to the wayside by these manufacturers, or future plans being put on the backburner. It's the politicians and paper-pushers who have no idea that you can't just flick a switch and change the world which they're trying to do. Automakers are saying it's going to take time, and with good reason. It should be evident in this day and age that Governments generally have no clue and are in it for their own political agendas. When it comes down to it, if automakers say that their outrageously ambitious intentions aren't realistic, policies will change again down the track like they always do.
