My understanding is purity and quality are not the same in the context he's written it in... Otherwise, why rehash two contradicting sentences?
"Our current lithium purity is around the same levels" - being the actual purity of the lithium (ie. %)
"All the product produced to date is of the same quality" - meaning it's all 'battery grade' quality (ie. all above 99.5%)
To me it seems it's dropped from the 99.9 or whatever % it was, but still battery grade. That's how I've interpreted it, and I believe @Rob826 never implied it's dropped out of battery grade spec.
