It’s like having a common rail diesel and knowing not to let it run out of diesel and letting air in the system- the engine doesn’t like it and will shut down. If you own a Tesla in a cold climate don’t let it run below 20% charge - no big deal.
From the chargers point of view, I’m sure Tesla will work out how they’ve failed and fix it. Whether they put a small internal heater in the chargers themselves to keep them warm in the colder locations? Whatever - this stuff can be overcome. I’m sure Elon and his boffins are onto it.
