It wasn’t long ago that Pierre was warning us all about how hydrogen was going to takeover and EVs will be doomed.
He points to “continued improvement” but fails to recognise that Li batteries are also being continually improved.

Now it’s sodium…. And he posts some articles about lab-scale batteries claiming comparable energy density to Li ion.
Do people have any idea of the time and cost involved in the commercialisation of new tech, not to mention the multitude of technical and other hurdles related to scaling and proof of performance in real-world applications??
People should actually go and research sodium battery developments and understand how they actually compare to current ev batteries, instead of believing some click-bait “Li is dead” articles or falling for the trap of “someone’s building a sodium battery factory, so therefor Li is doomed”.
