Everyone arguing Na vs Li batteries blah blah blah, one or the other, are missing the point. When sodium eventually gets off the ground, what is likely to happen under current scenarios due to weight considerations, that is Wh/kg, is that there will be hybrid batteries in cars with a small short range quick charging component from the sodium and the rest lithium.
The problem will be, that by the time Na-batteries come online, solid state lithium batteries should also be online, and they charge very quickly too apparently, so Wh/kg is going to win out. There might be a Na-battery use-case for the smallest short range cheap as f**k commuters I suppose.
